This blend is created to minimize the urge to cough, while encouraging that mucus to get on up outta your body when you do. In fancy terms, it is antitussive and expectorant. I have had really fantastic results with my kid's coughs with this blend.
 
If you find the taste to be just too "eww", try dropping it into some hot water or tea, and then drink it down that way.
 
My suggestion is to try 1-2 droppers full for an adult 2-4 times a day as needed.
